"Interested in starting a dialogue about personal finances and how best to educate ourselves to achieve financial independence."
Personal finance is my absolute passion. I believe that every person deserves to have a strong and healthy relationship with money, which begins with understanding.
The extent of my money education growing up was: get a job and work hard to earn as much as you can. My father worked two jobs while my mother raised three kids. When times were tough, my mother also worked seasonal jobs or waitressed.
I understood the grind, how to keep my head down and earn a living. But, I had no hope for financial success.
My lifestyle inflated, into my early thirties, and devoured every last bit of my hard work. I had a lot, which I was grateful for, but what did it all mean and where was it headed?
It didn't add up. I was successful, but my coffers were empty. Then I realized, income is not wealth. And that was the first time, I ever questioned, my relationship with money.
Follow me, as I continue that inquiry, in search of financial independence.
